Currently I am working on a project to create a web site, as an academic resource, about
Malta. .......I have recently been forwarded the address of your site and would very much like
to put a link from our site to yours. At the moment the site is still very much under
development, with many sections lacking information. One section which I would like to develop
is on Maltese Culture, and, after reading your site, was wondering if you would consider writing
something on that subject.

My name is Debra Tonna Prince and I live in the United States, state of California. My Dad's
family was from Mosta, Malta. We have not had much luck finding Maltese music in the United
States. We have not been back to Malta since 1970 although we are talking about going in the
next year or two. Do you have any information where we could order traditional or modern
Maltese Music? Please let me know if you can. Greatly appreciate
your help. Also, we too are commonly referred to as "Maltese Falcon". Believe so many people
have a very limited knowledge of the Maltese and their culture.

Hi Connie Schembri here, your web page is great. So nice to read letter from Maltese all over
the world. I think I need lessons on this PC as I can't hear your Ghana tape .Got all the fancy
gear, just don't know how to use it all as yet. But one thing I have learned about Maltese, they
have tenacity, great sticking power. We are like bulldogs, grab onto something and we don't let
go till we conquer it. We have a great heritage that has overcome much. Ghana is one of them.
Don't let it die. Bye now.

A Maltese friend of mine in NYC received an e-mail yesterday about your website and copied it
to me immediately, knowing that I'm very interested in Ghana and researching it in Malta. .......I
am really pleased to discover your website, and look forward to hearing from you and seeing the
remainder of your site. And it goes without saying, that I am delighted that you have created
an ghana website for all to see and hear! Prosit!
51: David Mallia - Malta - 13/08/98
Hi my name is David Mallia. I live in Malta and am very interested in mediaeval music (& history
for that matter). Having listened to ghana all my life and mediaeval music - especially
troubadour songs, I am convinced that there must be some link because there are, at least to
my ears, so many similarities. What do you think?
50: Charlie Bowman - New York, USA - 13/08/98
My name is Charlie Bowman and I am originally from Sliema. I have been living in New York since
1951. I belong to the Maltese mailing list and saw your posting regarding your homepage. What
a pleasant surprise to find such a site. I think that it is terrific. As a matter of fact I forwarded
your page address to 2 of my cousins and can't wait to get their reaction. I will certainly be
visiting often and hope to hear from you sometime. Again congratulations on a great page.

Fantastic Web Page, extremely informative, never knew there was an indigenous Maltese
music...to me it sounds like it has a Gypsy influence. Loved it. Grazzi hafna.

Was referred to your site by Charles Fiott, in Chicago. I am English, and my wife is Dorothy
Camilleri from Sliema. We met in Malta, lived in Britain for 12 years (including 15 months in Brae,
in Shetland), and emigrated to Florida
in 1988.

It was a great pleasure to visit your site tonight, for the first time. As I write this mail I am
listening to the Maltese ballads being piped from your site... a naustalgic trip to be sure. I was
born in Malta 51 years ago and emigrated with my family to Canada in '57 at the age of 10. My
memories the Island are those of a young boy but most of my extended family is in Malta so I
have kept up some connections through them. However since I went online I have had the
pleasure of visiting many Maltese sites and have been making new acquanitances through the
net. This is a real pleasure for me because as I get older the more I have aneed to connect
with my origins. As I also play guitar, accordian and sing, I was particularly interested in Maltese
folk music. My mother used to sing a couple of the old love ballads to us. They are so distinct
and soulful. Thanks again for providing such an important site for us Maltese who are away from
our beautiful homeland!

Thanks for your help. I downloaded Real Audio and I listed to the program. I LOVED IT. It made
me homesick and I am looking forward to the next broadcast. Thanks again and keep up the
good work.

May I congratulate you on an extremely well made and interesting web-page. For some time I
have been interested in Ghana as I find it both fascinating to listen to but also because I have
a friend who has very enthusiastically nurtured my interest in the subject. Sadly I have found
little printed material so this will undoubtedly become a regular reference point for me. In reality
living in Marsaxlokk ( in Malta of course) I have long been exposed to the sounds of ghana but
have never had the chance to deepen my knowledge of this wonderful tradition so once again
may I congratulate you but mostly thank you for this resource.

Visited your page. Nice one. Very interesting. Keep it going.

A great site! For years I have wondered about traditional Maltese music. My Maltese-born
father never described it, and I've never seen it sold in the USA. Thank you for an invaluable
introduction! Who sells any of this in the US?? Maybe one of us can become a part-time
distributor. Richard Cauchi, Denver, CO US - PS: For a look at my father's paintings, check: www.colorado2.com/art/jc_art.html.
38: Bill Camilleri - Australia - 01/07/98

produced. Manuel Casha new him well. Manuel interview Jimmy on numerous Radio
programs.Hope this information will help your reserch.
