Congratulations for your splendid work on the website. Its an honour for the Maltese people to
have such a lovely site on our folklore. I come from Zejtun, which many believe is the Mecca for
Maltese ghana. I've got relatives who take part in the Maltese Ghana. Keep it up and prosit
tassew. Sahha.

With much pleasure for the first time I have heard Ir-rokna Tal-ghana Bil-kitarra.The first five
years of my life I spent in Birkikara and my grandmother (Angela ic-camua) also ghaniet with
Xudi who was also Karkaris. So my love for Maltese Ghana stemed from there, even though I
have been in Australia for 44 years this month(Feb 21st 1955). Congradulations to all those
involved, I look forward in listening to the next program.
111: Ben Agius - Australia - 15/02/99
Congratulations on a fantastically presented site. I've heard over the years about the keen
interest of many Maltese everywhere to keep progressing ghana as part of our rich Maltese
folklore and culture. I have never, until today, realised it was so well organised. I now also
understand why when Manuel Casha and I were driving around Zejtun (a couple of years ago),
he asked to take a photo of Il-Bambinu monument. I now realise Manuel's depth of the subject
and his love for Maltese ghana. Well done......Regards.......Ben Agius.

Prosit tas-sew! What a lovely place to learn about my Maltese musical culture. Thank you!
109: Paul Galea - Sydney, Australia - 12/02/99
My name is Paul Galea and I emigrated to Australia with my family when very young. I now have
a great desire to get back to my roots and as I am a guitar player I was hoping if you have
heard of any instructional material related to guitar and Maltese folk music and Ghana etc.
Thank you for your excellent site.
108: Paul Costa - Canada - 02/02/99
This web site is great, I like to listen to different ghana, it always remind me of Malta. Thank
you for a great site. I am from B'kara and now live for many years in Toront Canada.
107: Paul Formosa - Sydney, Australia - 31/01/99
My wife came across your website just before Xmas 1998. Since then I have been into it quite a
few times. The information that I have found in your websit has been of tremendous help to me
on my radio program. It has been a learning experience for me as I have learnt a lot more about
the heritage of ghana. I know that putting all this information of your page is not just a matter
of sitting in front of the computer but that it takes a lot of time and researching for you. Thank
you for giving all of this time to your website so freely and also for the help that you have
personally given me through our contact. I am sure that every one who is interested in our
heritage, especially ghana appreciates all the effort you put into your website.
106: Dolly - USA - 24/01/99
I would like to thank you for the ghana , It brings wonderful memories of my dear father, When I
was growing up in Malta. Thank you so much and keep up the great work. Thank you Dolly
105: Peter Briffa - Sydney, Australia - 22/01/99
Congratulations on your excellent website ! I'm not surprised to see you've received an award
for it. I am sending you this letter in the hope that you may be able to help me in my search for
an old Maltese folk song that concerns Luca Briffa, who was one of the participants in the Great
Siege of Malta in 1565. My father, Sir Adrian Briffa, has asked me to try and track down the
words and music to this song which his uncles sang to him when he was a boy in the 1940's. I
would be most grateful for your assistance or advice on how to obtain this song. Thanks for
your time.

It is a very good effort to bring this local tradition to all around the globe. Prosit!
103: Erik Goldman - New York City, USA - 31/12/98
This is a really lovely, easy to navigate site. I linked with you via http://www.mustrad.org/, and
I am really glad I did. I will be going to Malta on business at the end of January, and with
girlfriend in tow, I plan to spend a post-business week with no agenda other than to breathe
Mediterranean air, eat fish and soak up a world of new impressions. I love traditional musics
from all over the world with a particular interest in Africa, the Mediterranean and the Celtic
lands. I've heard a good bit of Corsican and Sardinian music, but nary a shred of anything
Maltese. I knew there had to be something, but nobody Ive queried here in the US has any info.
Maltese Tourist board stateside was of little help music-wise, and I've scoured record stores big
and small for specimens of that seemingly elusive critter called Maltese music. Nothing! Though I
still have no real idea quite what ghana sounds like (I'm guessing its a close cousin of some of
the Corsican/Sardinian things I've heard) your site has certainly whetted my appetite. If you
have a moment, would you mind e-mailing me a few hints on names of worthwhile
singers/players to keep an eye out for, the music spots that have the best sessions, and stores
that carry Maltese records? I sure would appreciate it. I'll only be in Malta for ten days, but a
guy can take in a lot of music in ten days! Anyway, I really enjoyed my first romp through your
site. No doubt Ill return to read some of the more in-depth pieces before I go. Best wishes for
the New Year!
102: Alfred Aquilina - Canada - 31/12/98
I cannot exaggerate when I say that your Christmas program of favourite Hymns sung by those
children with angelic voices, moved me to tears. You are indeed a God-send to all of us Maltese
abroad. May God bless you richly for your work on the site. And may all our countrymen get a
chance to "relive" the past through your work!! Thanks a million, John!
101: Grazio Falzon - USA - 29/12/98
John, I want to congratulate you an an absolutely stunning website. Both the quality and
content are simply outstanding. (Too bad the audio transmission needs a little fine-tuning -
technologically speaking. Believe me it's a small price to pay for the JOY you provide esp to us
Maltese overseas). Il-memorji tieghek tal-Milied ta' tfulitek u l-ghanjiet tal-Milied tant fakkruni fi

This site is very interesting, educational and informative. It would be very nice if we can get
the audio on some other logo than Real Payer. WE on Webtv are unable to get on " ". Thank you
and keep up the good work.
