Whilst I wish to take this opportunity to wish you and yours a Very Happy New Year 2008 I also once more wish to extend my gratitude for the excellent and informative website that you manage to keep together. It just goes to show that us Maltese immigrants remain committed to our home country in so many different ways. On behalf of myself and my family and all the members of the Maltese Ethnic Community in New Zealand we hope and pray that your work will be appreciated by 1 and all.

I am so pleased to se you back on-line. In Sydney we have a few entities that are going through a bad period. I am afraid we are all going through the same conflicts of not enough funds. Our Governments in Aus are letting us down. On one hand they are telling us that Australia is doing great and on the other hand, we have loads of people put on the scrap heap. One main charity alone needs $60 million dollars to see it through for a year helping people. This the politicians do not talk about. Good luck. Lino Vella - The Maltese Herald.

Hello John, I cannot explain how delighted I was on reading our friend's (Paul Vella) letter in the Times that your website allmalta.com is back in business for the benefit of the hordes of people that use it. Congratulations for finding a way out of the whole turmoil. I'm sure that this recent saga will serve to strenghten even more the ties that really exist around the world among our small nation. Good on you, as we say here in Australia.

First of all I understand the problems of trying to keep up with financial costs of running a website which has now become a primary global site with Maltese people especially those living overseas, The site has not only been a means of keeping up to date with news and events in Malta but also a means for young students of Maltese Ghana to find information pertaining to their studies. I remember when you first mentioned about opening the site some years ago, I was thrilled to hear that someone with your experience in I.T. would take on such a task because I was sure the product would be of high standard. In the last few years allmalta.com has grown beyond my wildest dreams and dare I say also your own wildest dreams. This can only be accredited to your professional attitude and dedication. I have referred many people to your site and once they visited they were hooked on the information it offered. I also recall those days when I used to look forward to the weekly Ghana and request programmes. Of course those type of programmers cost too much for an individual to run without good sponsorship. I was disappointed once they stopped but I fully understood your difficulties. Just last week I realised that allmalta.com might not be available anymore and sadly my shortcut to it could not open it anymore. This was a sad moment and a great feeling of loss after being used to visiting regularly in the last years. I am glad to see you have decided to keep allmata on line but I am aware of the difficulties you face in doing so. I wish you all the best and hope we will still enjoy your work on the world wide web through allmalta.com.

I am very glad that your site is back in circulation and (using your words) moved it to a new web space provider, which offers the same services at a more realistic yearly cost. Like you, I am aware of the problems and costs of running a website in our endeavour in keeping people informed about our Maltese traditions and affairs pertaining to Malta and the Maltese. Congratulations John and I know that you will keep up your great efforts. Your internet mate Charles J. Belli

I am a longtime reader of allmalta. I have offered to do some translation into Maltese for the "remember the milk" website; please look it up if you are not already familiar with it. It originates in Sydney. I was wondering if you would like to help with translating. If you are not able to, perhaps you know of some other person (preferably in Sydney) who could help. Have you had any further thoughts on following up on a suggestion that you ask your readers to help with a financial donation? All the programs you had are sorely missed. Eddie.

I've been visiting your website for many years now, and have seen it changing for the better each time I visit. The one thing that is now missing is the programmes you used to make for us. Like many of the comments before me, I must say I miss these a lot, but your website still remains one of my favourites. Keep up the good work.

419: Paul V. Melilli - California, USA - 13/04/07
My name is Paul Melilli from California, USA. I was looking for information on my grandfather, Angelo Melilli. I believe there was a street named after him in in Valleta or somewhere in Malta. He was a music composer and conducted orchastras. He composed music for funerals too. My father, Vittorio was born in Malta, but grew up in Tunisia. My grandparents, Angelo and Antoinette were originally from Sicily. My dad was the youngest of 10. I believe my grandmother's first five children were born in Sicily and the next five were born on Malta. There's not alot of information on my grandfather that I could find. I may have to fly out to Malta someday to do somemore research. I think you're doing a good thing by creating this website so people can learn more about their family lineage. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
